Must have a high school diploma/GED and/or Vocational secretaries training or trade school. Must have proficiency in word processing and one year office experience. Requires demonstrated language and spelling skills and knowledge of efficient office procedures. Experience in multi-phone line system with good communication skills and postage machines is preferred.
1.Answer multi-line phone system on a daily basis and refers all calls to appropriate Gaming Commission staff.
2.Serve as first point of contact for all visitors to the Gaming Commission Office and directs visitor to appropriate staff.
3.Assist Licensing Investigators with day-to-day licensing operations and procedures including preparing applicant packages and preparing file folders and gathering forms.
4.Send references forms for Investigators, make badges, and send acceptance letters and other applicant correspondence.
5.Fax documents and notates files with return faxes.
6.Process all incoming/outgoing mail including mail records.
7.Coordinate the order of supplies for the Gaming Commission, fill supply request as needed, and complete monthly allocation of supply costs for the accounting department.
8.Keep the supply closet neat and orderly.
9.Assist in maintain logs in the office for monthly reporting and other purposes.
10.Complete any other duties as assigned by the immediate/controlling supervisor.
