QUALIFICATIONS: BSN preferred or an ADN with four years of experience in Public Health Services. An Oklahoma RN License, a valid Driver's license, and proficiency in basic computer skills are a requirement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prioritizes plans public health activities based on objective data and grant guidelines. Knowledge of comprehensive health programs and the full range of professional public health nursing principles, standards, practices, and procedures. Knowledge and ability to apply methods and techniques of adult education to stimulate behavioral changes related to good health practices. Experience in working with Native American people. Knowledge of drugs and the desired effect in treatment of disease and side-effects. Knowledge of quality improvement process to improve patient care and facilitate monitoring, evaluation, and program planning. Knowledge of health record aspects of patient care and an ability to accurately and completely document related clinical data. Ability to provide supervision, guidance, and instruction to other staff assigned to the health clinic. Complete county state public health reports and works collaboratively with individuals, families, and local organizations to address public health issues and needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote the mission, vision, and values of the company. Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive public health delivery system including prevention, patient education, immunization, maternal and child health, chronic disease prevention and monitoring, nutrition, home health services, and other related areas. Monitor and evaluate the components of the company’s public health and SDPI grant's objectives and goals. Responsible for obtaining, processing and reporting pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug testing of company employees. Assist physicians and staff in a clinical patient care services. Complete any other duties as assigned by the director or acting officer.
